Easily one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at.

This is a run-down, grubby, poorly-maintained hotel that needs complete refurbishment. Got into the room and the desk was horribly sticky, I had to clean it myself. Food was poor to average. Came back to my room on my final day and for some reason they'd installed a camp bed between my double-bed and the bathroom. No idea why but had to get it removed as at night, it would have been a trip hazard. Then on my final night, when I had to be up at 4am the following morning to catch a flight, they had a private event on in the restaurant with a singer/guitarist using an amp Metallica would have been proud of. It was so loud, you could have heard it on the other side of Turkey. At 10pm I had to get up and go down to reception to get them to do something about it. Hotel also overrun with hundreds of kids as well, no idea what they were doing there but they were running wild, absolutely no control over any of them. Finally, and I appreciate that this isn't the hotel's fault, but if you're at the front of the hotel, not only is it incredibly noisy from the road noise, but at 5.15am every morning you will be woken by the call to prayer from the mosque next door. It's very loud. Anyway, my advice is to avoid this hotel at all costs, I'm sure you can find better in Istanbul.

My stay at Crowne Plaza Harbiye in Istanbul left much to be desired. While the breakfast was exceptional, featuring delightful Nutella pancakes that were a highlight of my mornings, the overall experience fell short of expectations. Let's start with the positives. The bath facilities were luxurious, with a Jacuzzi that provided a relaxing and invigorating massage experience. Additionally, the presence of a Jacuzzi in the pool area was a pleasant surprise, adding an extra touch of luxury to the amenities. However, the positives largely end there. The room itself was disappointing, with a dismal view of a plain wall greeting me each morning. Although the hotel offers the option to control the view with bedside buttons, this felt like a superficial attempt to remedy an inherent flaw in the room design. While the breakfast and bath facilities warrant commendation, the subpar room experience significantly detracted from the overall stay. Consequently, I can only justify awarding two stars for this visit. If not for the breakfast and bath facilities, the rating would have been even lower. Best Regards to Crowne Plaza Harbiye, Ayaan.

As a frequent guest of the Crowne Plaza brand, my expectations for consistent quality and service are always high. My recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Istanbul Harbiye, however, presented an interesting mix of experiences. Service: The service received was surprising and not in the way one might hope. Unlike other IHG properties where warmth and hospitality are a given, smiles seemed scarce here. Initially, I wondered if it was a cultural difference, but my experiences at other local IHG properties suggested otherwise. I do understand people dont speak English a lot here, but the smile is same in every language. The concierge service, particularly from an individual named Rasim, felt more focused on selling external services rather than genuinely assisting hotel guests. He acted like one of those street vendors, desperate to sell a service to you. This approach does not align with the IHG standard of guest care. Breakfast Experience: The breakfast experience was underwhelming. As i approached the desk for breakfast, expected someone will greet good morning with a smile, but the only interaction i had was "Okay" and then hand gesture to show me the buffet. Leaving guests to navigate seating arrangements on their own—a stark contrast to the usual guided seating service expected at such esteemed properties. On both days i found someone else is sitting on my table when i went to get my food! Room Quality: The rooms, albeit dated—which is understandable given the property's age—could benefit from a higher standard of cleanliness. While the historical charm of the hotel is appreciated, maintaining pristine conditions is essential. Bright Spots: Despite these challenges, there were notable exceptions to the overall service standard. Employees like Mehil, Adil, and Ali stood out for their willingness to help and friendly demeanor. Their efforts and hospitality significantly contributed to the positive aspects of my stay, reminding me of the IHG service I know and appreciate.

The area is surrounded by restaurants and shops but you need to walk about 5/10 minutes..Walking distance to taksim around 15/20 minutes , breakfast is good staff are helpful they changed our room as it was dirty . The room size is ok but carpets is dirty and toilet bath tub is broken Cleaning overall is poor its not even 2 stars hotel ! the hotel is old needs to be demolished..
